Bangkok to Pattaya Taxi Travel Time

A Bangkok to Pattaya taxi takes 1.5–2 hours from a city-centre hotel, about 150 km on Motorway 7, the Bangkok–Chonburi–Pattaya motorway. From Suvarnabhumi Airport the run is shorter at 1–1.5 hours over roughly 90 km, since the airport sits on the Pattaya side of Bangkok. Don Muang is the longest at 2–2.5 hours across about 180 km, because the driver crosses the city before joining the motorway.

Bangkok to Pattaya Taxi Fares

The fare depends on the pickup point and the vehicle. Suvarnabhumi Airport is the cheapest origin because it sits on the Pattaya side of Bangkok. A city pickup is one fixed fare from any address in Bangkok. Don Muang sits on the north side of Bangkok, the opposite end from Pattaya, so a sedan from there is ฿1,400 against ฿1,100 from Suvarnabhumi. Each fare below is one price for the vehicle, fixed at booking confirmation. Once confirmed, the fare does not change, and the price covers the whole car, not a seat.

From Bangkok City to Pattaya

Pickup from any hotel, condo, or office address in Bangkok. About 150 km via Motorway 7; 1.5–2 hours in normal traffic. One fare covers any pickup address in the city.

From Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) to Pattaya

Suvarnabhumi sits on Bangkok's eastern edge, on the Pattaya side of the city: about 90 km, typically 1–1.5 hours. From Don Muang Airport (DMK) to Pattaya

What's Included in the Fare

The driver pays all Motorway 7 tolls out of the booked fare. The price includes:

• 60 minutes of free waiting time at the airport

Every vehicle is air-conditioned and non-smoking. A child seat or booster seat is charged on top of the fare at ฿400 per seat and is fitted in the Family SUV or in either minivan. If you are travelling with young children, tell us their ages when booking and the right seat is in the car before pickup.

The Journey: Motorway 7

Your driver takes Motorway 7, the Bangkok–Chonburi–Pattaya motorway, a multi-lane highway that runs east out of Bangkok, past Chonburi, and down the coast to Pattaya. From central Bangkok the distance is about 150 km.

In normal conditions the drive takes 1.5–2 hours. Friday evenings, Sunday afternoons, and Thai public holidays are the busy windows, when the same trip can stretch to 2–2.5 hours; if you can choose your departure time, avoid them.

Out of Bangkok the driver joins Motorway 7 near the Suvarnabhumi interchange, runs east past Chonburi, passes the Si Racha and Laem Chabang exits, and leaves the motorway at the North Pattaya or Central Pattaya interchange onto Sukhumvit Road. The driver settles each Motorway 7 toll plaza on the way, so the booked fare covers every gate.

Your driver can make a short stop at a motorway rest area on request at no extra charge. Mention longer stops or detours when you book so we can plan for them.

Which Vehicle to Book

The Standard Sedan (Toyota Camry or similar) takes up to 3 passengers with 2 large bags, at ฿1,100 from BKK or ฿1,400 from a Bangkok city address.

The Family SUV (Toyota Fortuner or similar) carries 4 passengers and 4 large bags. Book it for a family of four, or for luggage that would not fit in a sedan boot.

The Minivan, the older van, takes up to 8 passengers with 8 large bags. At ฿2,000 from BKK it costs less than the ฿2,200 for two sedans, which seat only 6 between them. If you are unsure, count bags as well as passengers: 3 adults with 4 suitcases need the SUV, not the sedan.

The VIP Minivan, the newer van, carries the same 8 passengers and 8 large bags as the regular Minivan, for ฿2,400 from BKK. Pickup: How It Works

Airport pickups (BKK and DMK)

Give us your flight number when you book. We monitor the flight, so if it lands early or late your driver adjusts automatically.

After immigration and baggage claim, your driver is waiting at arrivals holding a sign with your name on it. You have 60 minutes of free waiting time from landing, which covers immigration and baggage on most flights.

At Suvarnabhumi the driver waits on the arrivals level (Level 2), just outside the doors at Gate 3 (Exit 3). At Don Muang the pickup point is the Terminal 1 international arrivals hall; if you land at Terminal 2 on a domestic flight, say so at booking so the meeting point matches your exit.

Hotel and address pickups in Bangkok

For city pickups, give us your hotel name or street address and a pickup time. The driver comes to the door (hotel lobby, condo entrance, or office), loads your luggage, and drives straight to your Pattaya destination.

Both ends of the trip are door-to-door. Any address in Pattaya itself, from Naklua to Pratumnak and Walking Street, pays the same fare. Jomtien and Na Jomtien sit further south and cost ฿100 more per vehicle from Suvarnabhumi, Don Muang or a Bangkok address. Bang Saray has a fixed fare from Suvarnabhumi only, ฿1,300 in a sedan; from Don Muang or a Bangkok address it is quoted separately. Payment and Cancellation

No prepayment is taken: you book online, we confirm, and you pay the driver on arrival. Payment is Thai baht cash only. We don't take cards or online payment.

Cancellation is free up to 24 hours before pickup; if plans change inside that window, contact us as early as you can. Flight delays are not cancellations: the pickup moves with your monitored flight at no cost.
