Taxi with a Child Seat

We fit child seats on airport transfers and long-distance runs across the Bangkok–Pattaya corridor. A seat is ฿400 and goes in the Family SUV or the VIP Minivan. The Standard Sedan cannot take one. Book below, pick one of those two vehicles, and ask for the seat in the notes box.

The Short Version

  • ฿400 per seat, added to the transfer fare and paid in cash with it
  • Family SUV takes up to 2 seats, VIP Minivan up to 3
  • Standard Sedan cannot carry a child seat, choose a larger vehicle
  • Charged once per booking, so a return trip is not double
  • Ask for it in the notes box when you book, with the child's age and weight
  • Bringing your own seat is fine and costs nothing

What a Seat Costs

A child seat is ฿400. It sits on top of the transfer fare rather than being folded into it, and you hand over both to the driver in cash at the end of the ride. The booking form prices the transfer only, so the seat is not in the total it shows you; we confirm the seat charge when we come back to you. On a real route: the Family SUV from Pattaya to Suvarnabhumi is ฿1,200, so one seat makes the total ฿1,600 and two seats make it ฿2,000.

The charge is per seat and per booking, not per leg. A return trip keeps the same seat in the car for both directions, so you pay for it once. Every other fare on the pricing page still holds: no meter, no night surcharge, tolls included. The seat is the one thing you can add to the number you were quoted.

The sedan is the one to watch. It carries three passengers, and once a child seat is strapped in it takes one of those places and most of the space around it, which is why we do not offer seats on it at all. The SUV and the minivan have a spare belted position and the boot to match, so a family of four with one seat still travels comfortably in the Fortuner. Booster seats for older children take less room than a rear-facing carrier, but the rule is the same: SUV or minivan.

Which Seat You Get

Put the child's age and rough weight in the notes when you book. That is what tells us which of the three types to load: a rear-facing carrier for a baby, a forward-facing seat with a harness for a toddler, or a booster for a child who has outgrown the harness but is still short for the adult belt. Two children of different ages need two different seats, at ฿400 each.

If we cannot get the right size for your date, we say so before the driver is assigned rather than turning up with a seat that does not fit. The driver fits it and checks the belt route before you get in; you are welcome to check it yourself, and most parents do.

How to Request One

Use the form at the foot of this page. Fill in the route, the date and the pickup time, then choose Family SUV or VIP Minivan on the vehicle step. That choice comes first, because the Standard Sedan cannot take a seat at all.

The contact step has a notes box. Write in how many seats you need and the age and rough weight of each child. That is the whole request. We read every booking by hand and message you back to confirm the seat and the ฿400 it adds before a driver is assigned. Bookings need at least 12 hours' notice, and longer helps when a seat is involved.

Child Seats: Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have baby seats for infants?

Yes. Baby seat, car seat and child seat all mean the same thing here. Put the child's age and rough weight in the notes box and we bring the right one, from a rear-facing carrier for a baby up to a booster for an older child. ฿400 per seat, in the Family SUV or the VIP Minivan.

How much does a child seat cost?

฿400 per seat, on top of the transfer fare, paid in cash to the driver with the fare. It is charged once per booking, so a return trip does not double it. The Family SUV takes up to 2 and the VIP Minivan up to 3.

Why is there no child seat option for the Standard Sedan?

It seats three, and a fitted seat takes one of those places and the room around it, which leaves nowhere for the family or the bags. Seats are offered on the Family SUV and the VIP Minivan only. Pick one of those when you book and ask for the seat in the notes box.

Can I bring my own car seat instead?

Yes, at no charge. Say so in the notes so the driver allows time to fit it and expects the extra bulk in the boot. We stock seats because most parents would rather not carry one through an airport, but either way works.
