Sattahip sits about 25 km south of central Pattaya, past Jomtien and Bang Saray, on the same stretch of coast. The drive follows Sukhumvit Road most of the way and rarely takes more than 40 minutes outside peak weekend traffic. It is a straightforward run, not a highway trip, so there are no tolls to account for.

What is in Sattahip
Sattahip is a working naval town rather than a resort district. It is home to a Royal Thai Navy base and dockyard, and the town itself has kept a slower, more local feel than the beach strips further north. Most visitors who are not connected to the navy come for Sattahip Bay, or to reach the quieter beaches at Nam Sai and Toey Ngam nearby.
