Taxi with a Pet

We carry pets on every route we run, at no extra charge, up to 12 kg. The animal travels in a carrier for the whole trip, and the smallest car we will carry a pet in is the Family SUV. Book below, choose the Family SUV, the Minivan or the VIP Minivan on the vehicle step, and tell us about the pet in the notes box.

Book a Taxi with a Pet

Bookings need at least 12 hours' notice. All times are Thailand time (UTC+7).

Enter the time your flight lands. We track your flight and meet you after you land, so there is no separate pickup time.

Don't see your route? Ask us on WhatsApp

Enter the route and pickup time, pick the Family SUV, the Minivan or the VIP Minivan, then describe the pet in the notes box: what it is, roughly what it weighs, and how many people are travelling with it. Cash on arrival, free cancellation up to 24 hours before pickup.

The Short Version

  • Pets up to 12 kg travel at no extra charge, on every route we run
  • The animal stays in its carrier from pickup to drop-off
  • The Family SUV is the smallest vehicle we offer; the Standard Sedan is not available with a pet
  • With a pet aboard, the Family SUV takes two passengers
  • Three or more people travelling with a pet take a Minivan, regular or VIP
  • Heavier than 12 kg? Message us on WhatsApp before you book and we answer case by case

What It Costs

Nothing. A pet under 12 kg does not move the fare on any route, in any of the vehicles that take one. The number the booking form quotes you is the number you hand the driver at the end, exactly as it would be if you were travelling on your own. No cleaning fee, and nothing added to the return leg.

What a pet does decide is the car. You pay the Family SUV fare or a minivan fare instead of the sedan fare. On every route the SUV costs more than the sedan, by up to ฿500. A minivan, which three or more of you with a pet need, costs more than that: between Pattaya or Jomtien and Bangkok or its airports it is ฿900–1,100 over the sedan, and the VIP Minivan ฿1,300–1,500. That difference is the vehicle, not the animal, and you can see what each route costs by vehicle before you commit to anything.

The sedan is out. It seats 3 and its boot is shut off from the cabin, so a carrier either takes one of the passenger seats or rides somewhere nobody can see it. We do not offer it with an animal on board at all.

That leaves the Family SUV and the two minivans. The SUV is listed at 4 passengers everywhere else on this site, and that is what it holds with luggage and no animal in the car. With a pet it holds two. The carrier is belted onto a seat in the back rather than wedged into a footwell, which accounts for one of the places, and the room around it plus the bags accounts for the other. This is a condition of bringing a pet, not a change to the vehicle: book the same SUV without one and it still carries 4.

Three or more people travelling with a pet take a minivan. We have not put a fixed passenger number on the minivan with an animal aboard, because it depends on the carrier and on how much luggage comes with you. A cabin-sized carrier and two bags is a different van from a large crate and six. Put the head count and the pet in the notes when you book and we confirm what fits before a driver is assigned.

The VIP Minivan carries a pet on the same terms as the regular one. It is the newer van, with individual reclining seats instead of bench rows and an aisle between them, and it costs ฿400–1,000 more than the regular minivan, depending on the route. A carrier belts onto a VIP seat as readily as onto a bench, so nothing about the pet rules changes. If you would rather see the VIP cabin before you decide, the photographs are on that page.

The Carrier Rule

The pet stays in its carrier from the moment the doors shut until you are out of the car at the other end. Not on a lap, and not loose in the back. This is the one thing we do not bend on, and a driver who turns up to find a dog with no carrier is entitled to refuse the trip.

Two reasons, both practical. A loose animal in a car at motorway speed is a hazard to itself and to whoever is driving, and the traffic police here take a dim view of it. The other is that the car goes out on somebody else's booking after yours, and a carrier is what keeps the hair and the claw marks off the upholstery.

Bring your own. We do not stock carriers, and we do not insist on a particular type beyond the animal being able to stand up and turn round inside it. Hard-sided and soft-sided both travel fine.

Pets Over 12 kg

12 kg is the line. Under it, book the trip yourself and there is nothing to arrange with us beforehand. Over it we still carry animals, but ask us first rather than booking blind and finding at the kerb that the crate does not go in.

Message WhatsApp on +66 95 540 7084 before you book. Send the weight, the breed if it is a dog, the outside dimensions of the crate, the route and how many of you are travelling. We take these one at a time and come back with whether a minivan handles it and whether anything is added to the fare. Somebody answers around the clock.

How to Tell Us When You Book

Use the form at the top of this page. Fill in the route, the date and the pickup time, then choose the Family SUV, the Minivan or the VIP Minivan on the vehicle step. That step comes before the contact step, and it is the one that matters here, because the Standard Sedan is not an option with an animal on board.

The contact step has a box labelled Notes (flight no., hotel, child seats…). Write the pet in there. What it is, roughly what it weighs, that it will be in a carrier, and how many people are travelling with it. Three lines is plenty.

Say it explicitly. There is no pet checkbox in the booking form and we are not going to guess it from a hotel name, so a booking that never mentions an animal is dispatched as an ordinary transfer and the driver finds out at the kerb. We read every booking by hand and message you back, and that reply is where a pet that will not fit gets sorted out instead of at pickup. Bookings need at least 12 hours' notice. If a child is travelling too, how child seats work is on its own page; put both in the same notes box.

Travelling with a Pet: Frequently Asked Questions

Is there a charge for travelling with a dog?

No, as long as the animal is under 12 kg and travels in a carrier. You pay whatever the route costs in the Family SUV or in either minivan and nothing is added for the pet. No cleaning fee, nothing extra on the return leg. The only thing a pet decides is the car, since the Standard Sedan is not available with one.

Can my dog sit on my lap instead of in a carrier?

No. The carrier is the condition we carry pets on and it stays shut from pickup to drop-off. A driver who arrives to find a loose animal can decline the trip, so it is not worth chancing. Bring your own carrier, hard-sided or soft-sided, big enough for the animal to stand up and turn round in.

The Family SUV is advertised for 4 passengers. Why two with a pet?

Because the carrier is belted onto one of the back seats and needs the room beside it, and the luggage still has to go somewhere. The SUV carries 4 when nobody is bringing an animal, and that is what it is sold as. Two is the number that applies once a pet is in the car. Three or more of you travelling with a pet means a minivan instead, regular or VIP.

My dog is heavier than 12 kg. Can I still book?

Message us on WhatsApp first, on +66 95 540 7084, with the weight, the outside size of the crate and the route you want. We do carry larger animals, but we decide it case by case, because a big crate changes what the vehicle can hold. Get the answer before you book rather than after.
